Beach driving is a popular activity on Emerald Isle, although it is allowed only in the off-season. For those who wish to drive on the beautiful beaches of Emerald Isle, a permit must be obtained from Town Hall.

Emerald Isle and much of the Outer Banks cater to surfers, with plenty of surfing-related events and activities. Visitors to Emerald Isle will never be bored!
